Avaya 9621G manually registers to 3CX

When we register Avaya 9621G phone to 3CX server, if there are a large number of Avaya phones, we can refer to the document to configure, and if the number of Avaya phones is not large, we can also refer to the following method to configure.

 

Phone preparation:

  1. Phones running on H323 Firmware must be converted to SIP;
  2. If the phone has been configured before, please reset the phone to factory settings;
  3. The Avaya phone is in the same local network with 3CX server.

Configuration steps:

  1. Add one new extension for phone in the 3CX management console:

In the 3CX management console, go to Extensions, and click Add.

In the page of Phone Provisioning, click Add, one new window will pop up, choose the phone model as Avaya 9621G and input the MAC address of phone, then click OK.

Make sure ID is same as extension number, and the password had better be set as digits to facilitate the following login on the phone screen, in addition, the phone display language and Timezone can be set too.

After finishing the settings, click OK to save the extension.

  1. Put the provisioning link of extension into the Avaya 9621G phone:

Because there is not web page to configure the phone, we just need to put the IP address of link into the HTTP server of phone screen.

  1. Power off and reboot the phone, after that, the phone screen will ask for the login information to input:

Login: extension number

Password: Enter the password in the phone provisioning page.

If the login is successful, the phone screen will display like this:

Then we can use the phone to make a call.
