The SIP line of Hong Kong service provider PCCW needs to be registered under the network provided by PCCW, and the 3CX server needs another network to implement installation and external network registration. This means the devices that install 3CX need to support dual NICs, one for PCCW and one for 3CX.
In this document, the network IP used by our PCCW is 10.237.17.129. Remember this address, which will be needed in the settings of the SIP Trunk. The internal network IP for 3CX is 192.168.188.162. As shown in the following pictures.
Next we need to set the priority for the NICs that 3CX needs to use.
Add SIP trunk
Now we need to add a SIP Trunk in the 3CX management control panel.
- According to the information provided by PCCW, fill in the corresponding options, as shown below:
- The next important step is the previously mentioned IP10.237.17.129, go to Options – Advanced-Select which IP to use in ‘Contact’ (SIP) and ‘Connection'(SDP) fields options, choose use this ip address, filled in 10.237.17.129 (this is provided by PCCW, different accounts may not be the same).
- Go to Outbound Rule to add Outbound Rule for this trunk, then we can make phone call via this trunk.
